Businesses Making a Difference in the Retrofit Arena: Featuring Dennis Luong from BlocPower, and Chase Macpherson of NEEP, and Carolyn Sarno Goldthwaite from Remotely. Retrofit Training Workshop with Svea Tullberg: Retrofits can present a number of complex and evolving challenges such as significant financial investments, access to the building structure, and its overall disruptiveness to using the home. With an upfront understanding of how the building performs and knowing a variety of practical approaches, meeting a fast track or long term phased approach to your retrofit goals can be achieved.

We'll dive a bit deeper into real-life applications and projections about future implications of these two technologies. Certified Passive House Retrofits with PHN and PHIUS: Reps from PHN and PHIUS lay out their retrofit standards with Ken Levenson and Al Mitchell. High Performance Building Component Spotlight with Anna Heath: Building a resilient, comfortable and healthy home relies on products and materials that are durable and resource efficient. Learn and experience the options, alternatives and challenges in using these high performance building components to find a path to a successful and cost effective project.

Designed and refined over a years-long process, incorporating mass timber and passive house principles, this building represents the best of a sustainable education building and a wonderful addition to phME’s hometown, Freeport! Leading the site walk are Tim Lock of OPAL, Adam Routhier from Zachau Construction and Wolfe’s Neck Center’s Executive Director Dave Herring.
